Your Legend Egypt Tours Tour Leader will meet you at your hotel lobby in Hurghada carrying a sign with your name and begin your amazing Overnight Trip to Luxor from Hurghada; you'll travel for about 3.5 hours by private vehicle to the wonderful City of Luxor.
Upon your arrival in Luxor; you will be accompanied by your Tour Guide and start the Luxor East Bank tour with a visit to the awesome Karnak Temple which started as a small sanctuary during the Middle Kingdom and evolved into the grandest religious complex built by mankind. Karnak temple consists of four principal sections; one major area accessible for visiting; wander through the stunning Hypostyle Hall full of colossal columns of which the glory of Ancient Egyptian architecture; during your Hurghada Day Tours; still evident.
Have your delicious lunch at a local restaurant then accompany your Tour Guide and be transferred to the marvelous Luxor Temple; the masterpiece of Amenhotep III with his subsequent expansion added by several rulers of the New Kingdom; the fact of the mosque and the church added in the present day within the Temple is astonishing as it illustrates the historical depth of the site. You will have a tasty breakfast at the hotel in the morning and begin your visit of the West Bank. Transfer to the famed Valley of the Kings, the ancient burial place chosen by the New Kingdom pharaohs to hide their tombs carved into the desert hills. In contrast with the Old Kingdom pharaohs' huge pyramids, these pharaohs sought to hide their burial places to keep treasures safe from robbers and ensure their passage to the after life, just like many tours to the Giza Pyramids will teach you. Some of the tombs are still being explored and many are some of the best preserved in Egypt with colorful wall paintings and elaborate carvings detailing stories from ancient beliefs. Some tombs will be closed, requiring a ticket to enter them separately. The world-famous Tomb of Tutankhamun was opened in 1922 in one of its tombs and is on display in Cairo in the Egyptian Museum tour. You will then have the great Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari built for one of Egypt's most famous and influential female rulers, by being carved into the cliff face, which makes this the most stunning temple I have seen in Egypt.
Then you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, a pair of huge statues that have stood the test of time for millennia on Luxor's West Bank, these two sitting statues represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III and remain from his huge mortuary temple.
At the end of your overnight trip to Luxor from Hurghada, you will transfer to the hotel in Hurghada.
