Your tour guide from Legend Egypt Tours will be awaiting you at your hotel in Aswan, where you will then enjoy a memorable trip seeing the sites and wonders of the city of Aswan.  
 
Your journey will take you to the modern-day wonder that is the Aswan High Dam. The dam was completed in the 1960s and freed Egypt from annual droughts and floods and, in addition, formed the world's largest artificial lake, Lake Nasser. The dam has significantly helped Egypt and provided electricity for most of the population, greatly improving their living standards. 

You will then continue to visit the antique granite quarries, the place where pharaohs of ancient Egypt extracted the raw material for building temples, obelisks, and statues across Egypt. Here you will see the colossal unfinished obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut. The stone is fascinating, and you will see how it was carved directly from the bedrock of the quarry. 

You will then drive to the picturesque Philae Temple of goddess Isis, situated on an island, which you will reach by a relaxing boat trip. The temple, an essential part of the last refuge for the practice of ancient Egyptian religion during the Greco-Roman era, has now been moved and rescued from flooding by the UN. At Philae Temple, you will find impressive halls, beautifully illustrated chambers, the sanctuary, and the Mammisi, or maternity house, for the god Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris. 

Finally, you will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan or to Aswan airport after this fantastic Aswan tour.
